Goji berries (also known as Wolfberry) are very good choice to expand their product range for companies involved in organic food market. This small, exotic super food’s natural benefits, fresh, unique taste and increasing popularity makes it wanted by everyone.

Briefly, Goji berries mother country is China and Tibet. Organic certified goji berries grow mostly at Ningxia region of China.

Goji berries are called as “super food” (like our other product dried mulberries) because goji berries contain great antioxidants, nutrients and unbelievably, five hundred times more Vitamin C than oranges. It also helps for a stronger immune system, protects liver, increases sexual vigor (yes, this is one of the biggest reason why goji berries are so popular) in a natural way.

Because organic certified goji berries are chemical free and pesticide free, it makes it even more popular because you can feel it’s benefits stronger. While organic goji berries have a big demand, companies should be very careful on them. The reason is, there are too many companies selling “organic goji berries” but mostly they are not really organic.

China is a still closed country and hard to control producers even they are certified by organic certification organizations. According to our market researched, we are well informed about purchasers having too many problems regarding quality, taste and pesticides. So, we highly recommend you to be careful before purchasing goji berries.

I am telling you these, because we recently started marketing goji berries and we ship them directly from our partner company in China. To guarantee quality, we provide pesticide and microbiological analysis before every shipment so you can be sure about what you will get.

Whether if you will purchase organic goji berries from BATA FOOD or any other supplier, you should be careful and be sure about quality to prevent any surprises. We recommend you to deal with trustworthy companies. Otherwise, you may have problems at customs border of your country or labeling them as organic.

You can see some details about our organic goji berries here.

Nowadays, we receive many inquiries for Bitter Apricot Kernels from US and Europe markets but can not supply them kernels. So we thought that giving informations about current situation might be useful.

Because bitter apricot kernels are very rare, it is hard to find good quality bitter apricot kernels which is real bitter (not mixture) and aflatoxin free.

While good quality conventional apricot kernels are hard to get, finding organic bitter apricot kernels are way harder. Most of them have aflatoxin or pesticide problem on that season. Because aflatoxin problem occurs over time and it’s been already 7 month after 2011 crop.

Due to these facts, we are currently out of stock on Bitter Apricot Kernels and can not take risk of purchasing more from farmers. Also, we recommend you not to purchase from anywhere in that season. Otherwise, it is possible for you to have problems due to quality.

To get best quality bitter apricot kernels without a problem, we suggest our clients to make reservation before new crop, and get the goods without losing time. So please contact us regarding organic and conventional bitter apricot kernels on June – July 2012 so we can arrange stocks for you.

Until that time, we can supply organic sweet apricot kernels (as a replacement) or other products included in our range.

Please share your comments with us!

Discover uncommon benefits of Turkish Dried Figs and see what happens when you eat them.
BATA FOOD supply this “natural chocolate” worldwide and strongly recommend you to taste one of them!

This video is unfortunately in Turkish, but shortly, I can tell you that it is about a farmer who kindly requests from a strange driver to drive him to his village.
Driver says that he can drive farmer only if farmer give all of the figs in the basket to him. Farmer says that it is too much for that, do not accept that request, and the story begins…

Enjoy!

ANUGA Fair - which is worlds biggest food industry fair – took place at Cologne (Koelnmesse) between 08-12 October 2011. 6596 companies attended to ANUGA 2011 in 284,000 m² exhibition space and over 155,000 people visited fair.

There were 10 sub-trade shows at fair, which are;

Anuga Fine Food

Anuga Drinks

Anuga Meat

Anuga Frozen Food

Anuga Chilled & Fresh Food

Anuga Dairy

Anuga Bread & Bakery, Hot Beverages

Anuga Organic

Anuga RetailTec

Anuga Food Service

We attended to ANUGA as a visitor to represent our company BATA FOOD. I want to say that, if you are in a food business, you should not miss this fair. All kind of food stuff even machinery suppliers are waiting for you with amazing options (next fair will be on 2013, which is two years later). ANUGA is a huge place for networking and finding new ways to grow your business, even if you visit or attend.

Also with this reason, you will be able to explore great Cologne city with good historical places (Köln-Dome is my favorite place).
Unlike Paris (SIAL 2010 Fair Reviews), public transportation options are very comfortable and easy for tourists. One of the best part is, if you are exhibitor or visitor to ANUGA, all public transport vehicles are completely FREE during fair date.

Our aim was to meet our existing customers and to look for new opportunities and fair was really helpful about these. We hope that we will be able to inform you about good news which came out by our meetings at ANUGA fair.

Below, you will find some photos which we took at ANUGA 2011 fair and also short video.

See you next time, at ANUGA 2013!
