2011 Crop Dried Figs Report

According to report published from Aegean Exporters Association last week, you can be well informed regarding new crop dried figs expectations with the summary below.

2011 Crop Dried Figs Shipping Date

We know that most of our customers and importer companies are looking forward to schedule their exact shipments for dried fig products.

Well, according to Turkish government and Aegean Exporters Association’s instructions, new crop (2011 crop) organic and conventional dried figs export will be forbidden until decision which will be taken at meeting of Aegean Exporters Association council on 7th of September.

After meeting on 7 September 2011, we will inform you about exact date of shipping dried figs with a short blog post. 

CONTRACTS OF NEW SEASON MULBERRIES.

As Batafood we have already started to make new contracts for new season dried mulberry demands.

The new crop will be available in August 2011.

Please contact us for your annual mulberry needs for 2011-2012 season to have a chance to reserve some part of it from the whole crop.

You can chose more crunchy type mulberries or softer and more juicy type of mulberries.

Both request are welcomed.

POMEGRANATE CONCENTRATE…

Even the prices of pomegranate juice is quite higher than season prices, we do not have it anymore to offer our customers until new season crop.

We expect to make you offers for new crop for apple and pomegranate juice around June 2011.

As you all know that some of dried fruit and juice prices (pomegranate and apple) is much more expensive than season prices.

Actually, some term of the year for organic products is so important to get price advantage.

One of the most known and easiest way to get more profit from your sales is to get the cheapest purchase price at the beginning of order.

Dried Fruits at Morocco – Photo of The Week

This photo is taken at Djmaa el Fna square (market place), Marrakech Morocco. There are many sales booths and mostly selling dried apricots (which is from Malatya / Turkey), dried figs, Tunisian and Moroccon dates and some other dried fruits.

Pomegranate Juice and Concentrate Factory

To give you a little idea about where do we pack organic and conventional pomegranate juices and concentrates, I thought that you will like some photos which I took last week. It will give you some information.

In photos below, you can see in photos processing step (it is not pomegranate juice processing there, it was apple because we just made raw pomegranate purchases last week and production started this week), our storage and packing type for pomegranate juices and some other steps too.

For your information, we do only provide %100 Organic and Conventional Pomegranate NFC Juices and Concentrates, which can be inspected by any organization such as SGS or else.

Dried Apricots Crop 2010 Packing

We get lot of questions about how do we pack goods from our customers (and potential customers). We thought that it would be great if we put some photos, maybe you might be interested too.

For your information, we provide:

- Organic dried apricots (Size: 1-8)
- Natural dried apricots (Size: 1-8)
- Dried Apricots with SO2 (Sulphured) (Size: 1-8)
- Organic and Non-organic diced dried apricots (5×5 mm, 10x10mm etc.)
- Organic and non-organic industrial dried apricots (uncalibrated)

Normally, we put them in 12.5 kg bulk cartons as bulk, but we are also able to make wooden trays, tubs, , half vacuum packs, smaller packings according to your demand.

Organic Dried White Mulberries Packing & Unloading (Video)

In this video, you can see our staff while unloading them from truck before they reload it to container. Products you see in BATAFOOD branded cartons are organic dried white mulberries. They are one of our most popular product.

We packed them 3 half vacuumed 2.5 kg packs in 7.5 kg thick and durable cartons. Also we are able to shrink and palletize them upon your request. So it will be more protected and easier to carry.

Market situation seems stable right now on dried mulberries for short term. In long term, because of dried white mulberry crop is small (according to other dried fruits), we expect prices to go higher when suppliers stocks get lower. As BATA FOOD, we recommend you to make annual contracts if your strategy is to supply this product to your customers continuously. This way, you will have great price advantage, special discounts and also your orders will be shipped whenever you request.
